Maltipoo Barking: Is it Common?
Do you want to buy a dog that does not bark a lot? If so, you are just like a lot of people. Of course, you know that doing this is a hit or miss proposition. Even a breed that is not known to bark could buck this trend and make noise 24 hours a day, seven days a week. So this leads us to the question: is Maltipoo barking common?
Generally speaking, you should not expect your Maltipoo to have barking fits on a regular basis. Both the Maltese and Poodle are relatively quiet and well behaved breeds. For this reason, you should expect pretty much the same from a Maltipoo; of course, there are exceptions to this rule.
One thing that you should know is that a Maltipoo can be a great watch dog. Most of these dogs do a good job of making noise when somebody knocks on the door, or a neighbor begins to make a commotion outside. For the majority of owners, this is the best of both worlds. There Maltipoo is well behaved during normal circumstances, but acts as an alert watchdog at the same time.
Dealing with Maltipoo barking can be difficult. If you are lucky, your dog will never get too loud so you will never have to deal with this. But with that being said, you never quite know what you are going to get when you buy a puppy. If training your Maltipoo on your own is not working, you may want to look into hiring a professional. They have the experience necessary to break your Maltipoo of their barking habit. While it may cost you some money, it will save you noise related headaches in the long run!
Overall, Maltipoo barking is not common. Most people are lucky enough to buy a Maltipoo puppy that only barks when they hear an unusual noise.
