Hi, I have a 3 month old maltipoo. He is for the most part very peaceful, but when we go places he gets very hipper and starts biting if you try to grab him. He is going through his "mouthing" stage, but it seems that the bigger he gets, the stronger the bites are. A friend told me to always have a rubber toy in the freezer and when he starts biting to give it to him. It seems to be working. Good luck!

Hi, we just bought (Nov 13/09) a Malti poo from the SPCA, he is all of the above that you mentioned. He is 3 months old and we think he came from a questionable environment. The vet said he is thin(can feel ribs no fat) and his hair is thin. She said that making sure he eats well (proper/good puppy food) he should get heavier and skin/hair more healthy. Timmy is so lovable and full of energy a definate delightful addition to our home as we have always had Samoyeds (our old girl 14 yrs is not too fond of puppy)

Hello,
Me and my family are thinking about purchasing a puppy. Maltipoo puppies are our firsts choice, and this information i is very helpful. I sincerely appreciate it. Another breed we were thinking was a yorkshire. Do you have any blogs on that type??

My multipoo , Mandy, has about saved my well being as i go thru a long divorce. She has an instinct for empathy ( really) and is loving (cuddeling her head over my neck to see if my eyes are open yet in the morning- very funny experience-- if im not quite ready to get up, she usually goes and lays down beside me and waits with amazing patience. i should have so much love and patience. Because of all this, i am motivated to get up and get with it- keeping me from depression as I go for a walk ( i wouldnt get out if she werent loving it so much - 2-4 times a day.)

She makes me meet every neighbor -- she runs them down , pulling me along , even if they are three blocks ahead . As a result , i have made w a y more acquaintances and friends and even a pastor i needed to know, never would have known without her. I was still a block away and she was so enthused to meet them , that i had to shout out to them the crazy statement" Hello- would you wait -- my little dog wants to meet you -- so do i ( i added the last part as I heard how the first part sounded.) You need to be able to laugh inside yosince yourself, or outside yourself- but you will be laughing.

We come home and she then ( after eating) does some exercises with me to rock and roll music ( in a way). I do my dancing and she follows along after her favorite toys that are on a long bathrobe belt. She jumps and catches them and I dance.

If i do need to sleep ( depression can do that ) , she is thrilled to be with me -- all happy just to cuddle up with me. I am amazedsince she has often waited while I have had to type or be on the phone and she has slept anyway. Because of this- today i am hopiing to purchase another wonderful maltipoo to be her buddy - when i am not as much fun as she deserves.

The point? It'es a little harder to stay depressed with all this fun and love from this angelic dog-- i consider her a gift from God-- greatly needed. But I would not leave her alone without a buddy - she deserves so much what she gives to me so freely- consideration , and enthusiasm for me !( more than my husband has matured enough to ever give anyone)

My Wife and I have a wonderful Maltipo named Whitey. He is 3 mos old and we have him since he was 10 weeks old and he is very aggressive at times especially at my wife.I hope that this is a teething problem and nothing else, because he gets alittle out of hand at times.I've had several dogs thoughout my life and have never really gone through this before and was wondering if this is something the average puppy goes through? He has many toys to play with and gets plenty of attention...What should we do?

I have a 4 1/2 old month Malti Poo. He is extremely loving and follows me wherever I go. When my husband and I play with him though, he is always biting. Seems that is all he does, biting everything constantly. It is always in a playful manner, but sometimes hurts and gets to be very annoying. What is a good way to stop this? I don't want him to hurt any visitors, especially children.

I have two 5 month old maltipoos. They are starting to act aggressive toward one another, and one of them has started to snap at other dogs he meets. I have found that squirting them in the face with a water bottle is very helpful. If you spray them directly they will know they are doing something wrong and I have found mine are behaving much better.

My maltipoo looks exactly like all the pictures. However, she is 6 1/2 months old and she weighs 10.2 pounds. She is tall, having long legs. She was 2 1/2 pounds when we got her at 10 weeks. She is adorable, but I guess she is a giant. The vet thinks she will be between 12 and 15 pounds. Being spayed might make a difference. She was spayed at 6 months.

I have one of the best malti-poo puppies. He is only 4 months old and already 10 lbs. I think he will probably be 12 lbs full grown. My puppy cost $600, which is a fairly good price because some Malti-poos sell for over $1,500 :)
