Bathing your Maltipoo at Home
If you own a Maltipoo, you are aware that its long coat can often times be difficult to handle. For this reason, you will want to become a professional at bathing your Maltipoo at home. After all, you do not want to have to take your dog to the groomer each time it needs a bath. This is definitely something that you can learn to do on your own.
Bathing your Maltipoo at home is not a difficult process. The first thing that you need to do is get all of the proper items together. This includes shampoo, towels, and quite possibly a blow dryer. Of course, you will also need water and a tub for bathing your Maltipoo. If you have a utility sink, this is probably the best option. If not, a bathtub will do just fine.
Before you put your Maltipoo in the water, make sure that it is the proper temperature; not too hot, not too cold. If your dog does not like to be bathed, you should be extra careful when putting it in the water. Remember, squirming and splashing is the norm.
As your dog gets used to the water, things will get easier on you. Make sure that you wash every part of your dog, but that you are careful not to get any shampoo in its eyes.
Finally, once your dog is done, you need to dry it off; this is especially true during colder months. You can dry your Maltipoo with a towel, and a blow dryer may also come in handy.
Bathing your Maltipoo at home is not impossible. In fact, it can be fun for both you and your dog if you do things right!
